The University of Groningen, through the Wubbo Ockels School for Energy and Climate, offers the intensive summer school: “Energy Challenge – An Interdisciplinary Approach.” Scheduled for August 24 – 28, 2026, this program addresses the “Hydrogen Economy” not merely as a chemical or engineering hurdle, but as a profound socio-technical challenge. Located in the Northern Netherlands—a region leading the transition from natural gas to sustainable alternatives—the course provides a unique vantage point on how to scale hydrogen infrastructure. While the university provides elite academic instruction, site visits to energy network operators, and 2 ECTS credits, Edulux Summer manages the high-end logistics and travel services required for your stay in Groningen.
